Robert M. Castleberry began his career in public accounting in 1987. After working for a highly respected regional firm and a local firm, he started his own firm in 1994 and since then has served many clients through their business and life cycles. 
 
Mr. Castleberry has demonstrated his expertise in the traditional CPA services of tax, accounting services and audit through his years of service to clients in many different industries.
 
Today, he has gone far beyond these traditional roles. In his role as business advisor, he has helped clients with wealth building, estate planning, succession planning, financial planning, valuation and sale of their business, as well as litigation support services.
 
Mr. Castleberry has met the stringent requirements of NACVA’s Certification Board, and has earned the premier professional designation of Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). NACVA is a leading national organization dedicated to training and accrediting CPA’s who provide business valuation and litigation support services to business owners and allied professionals throughout the United States and abroad.
 
During this period of service Mr. Castleberry has performed or assisted on business valuations involving banks, automotive transmission remanufacturer, automotive parts packaging, engineering services, hair salons, a property management company, a water value supply company, a positive displacement pump company, and numerous family limited partnerships. The appraisals have been used for gift and estate tax purposes, mergers, and court settlements. Mr. Castleberry has been designated as an expert witness in State and Cleveland County courts.
 
Educational Background
 
Obtained CVA certificate in December of 1996, CSA certificate in May of 1998, CPA certificate in July of 1988, and CSRP certification obtained in January 2005.Obtain ABV in 2007. Graduated from OU in December of 1986 with a BBA in accounting with an emphasis in Finance. Series 6, 7, 63, and life insurance licensed.
 
 
 
 
Professional Background
 

Started with Finley & Cook, CPA's in Shawnee in 1987 doing audit and tax work mainly for banks. Promoted to the tax department full time in 1989. Went to work for Gray & Company, P.C. in Norman in January of 1993 in audit and tax department. Started Castleberry & Associates, CPA in September of 1994. Practice consist of tax preparation (individual, partnerships, corporations, trusts & estates), tax planning & projections, estate planning, business valuations, expert witness, litigation support services, IRS & OTC representation, financial planning, and business consulting. Member of the Norman Chapter of CPA's, OSCPA, AICPA, NACVA, IBA, and SCSA. Served on the OSCPA's(Oklahoma Society of CPA's) professional ethics committee since 1989, chairman in 1993. Served on Tax Committee since 2005. Member of the OSCPA Technology committee serving as chair of a sub-committee for on-line meetings. Involved with Taxwise since 1992, Serving as panelist in 1999. Served as chair of a case analysis group at the NACVA National Business Valuation Convention in May of 1998. Completed the AICPA’s Tax Planning & Advising for Closely Held Business(96 hours of advanced specialized training). Received the first ever Distinguished CPA Award from the Norman Chapter of CPA’s in 1999. Four different Valuation reports are used as sample reports in the national publication of sample reports issued by NACVA.
